Giving Opportunities
Local Christians Bring Life-Change to Villagers in Senegal
The rural villagers of Northwestern Senegal are struggling to survive. Harsh agricultural conditions force many men to move into the city to try to make a living. Left at home, the women spend much of each day in search of drinkable water for themselves and their children.
With the installation of a well for clean water, and a simple irrigation system for crops, men are able to return to their families and their farming work in the village. Women can spend time tending to their children and learning vocational skills. Life in rural Senegalese villages improves dramatically with access to clean, drinkable water; and a well is only the first of many opportunities to make a meaningful impact.
Local Christians in Senegal reach out to bless a rural village with their prayers, finances, time, and vocational skills. As practical needs are met, relationships are built, and the gospel is shared. Villagers are receptive, and the lives of everyone involved are changed forever.
