Christian Women Help Their Dalit Sisters in the Name of Jesus Christ
Dalit women and girls of India live as outcasts in dire need of love, acceptance and opportunity. Because they are Dalit, they are considered "untouchable" by society. Because they are women, they are discriminated against as a matter of course.
Women in India, especially tribal, Dalits (literally, broken people) and slum women have some of the hardest lives. At least have of India's females have never attended school. But that doesn't have to mean that they cannot learn and grow into the women God created them to be.
Through a combined effort of literacy, vocational, health and hygiene and discipleship women in small groups are organized, revolving loans are "seeded " and small groups of women gain skill and confidence for new businesses. Women pledge to help each other, to contribute to the loan fund each week, and to send their daughters to school, breaking the cycle of generational poverty for a family! The ripple effect of transformation is astoundingly inexpensive.
Contribute toward a loan and a new life one woman for an entire year for $180 or only $15 per month.
